I recently joined TCS but I was moved into very different project which was told during hiring. Also they told me for joining incentive but later after 65 days of joining they didn't give saying your business aproval got rejected. I really want to be with TCS but due to project dissatisfaction, I am looking for different job. I am not sure if I can leave the organisation soo soon(4 months) and it should not effect my carrier.

Globant India Pvt. Ltd. Hi Globers ! I have an offer from Globant for the role of a BA. While discussing the role with HR pre and post the interviews & offer, I had specifically ask the HR to tag me to Ahmedabad location as that's my hometown and I do not wish to relocate. But she has rolled out the offer for Pune location ane verbally ( isn't giving me in writing ) assured me that the location will be flexible. May I know from the fellow Globers if we have location flexibility or WFH option available? Globant India Pv

Thanks @pwc 1, strongly considering leaving after two busy seasons. There are blips of enjoyment but most of the time on most of my teams I can't stand it. My original goal was manager but now I'm not even thinking about senior. If all my teams were like my recent team id be in for a while, despite the hours. But 90% of my teams have been bad.
It takes three years in advisory in any case, so we usually hire 2nd year seniors as staff. Just one exit op anecdote
It doesn't hurt exit opportunities unless you're leaving in third year when not having senior title might hurt. Anything after that they just look at # years experience and you're background. Most exit ops are about how you can sell yourself. A title only does so much. You need to be able to speak about your experience and sell yourself. If you're at 6 years experience but no manager title because took an extra year with PwC, you can still interview your way into a management level position if you can nail the interview and clearly communicate your experience.
Not at PwC, but generally everyone agrees that it doesn't make a difference. It's just a title, but the responsibilities are the same
Based on friends @ PwC it'll pretty much only affect you if you are dying to quit during your third year.
You can do it in less it just depends... I was hired straight out of college no prior experience and made senior in a little less than a year and a half.
^smaller market?
I am in the San Jose office, so no.
I was also not the only one. Others that I started with also made senior at the same time in other groups.
San Jose bleeds people from what I hear and probably needs second years stepping up to senior all the jobs.
@PwC2 what's the mix of clients like? Are they putting you as a 2nd year to senior large accelerated filers or to you have a more diverse set of clients and the early promotes are more working on private and smaller engagements? I think it's pretty uncommon in my market to have multiple early promotes.
Back to point of the post: overall it doesn't really matter title at this stage of your career. Two years experience is two years experience regardless of title. Outside opportunities will focus on the number of years. For example, if a senior accountant job in corporate requires 4 years experience, an early promote to senior wouldn't qualify for the position even though they had senior title. Long run it won't matter much. Just focus on doing your best and learning something new everyday and you'll be fine.
A lot of time "4 years' experience" really means 2 years, in my experience
