How can i get reimbursement for certifications that i have paid for from my pocket? What is the process and how much time do they take for reimbursement?

I have a governmental entity client in Texas that wants to offer 6 weeks of paid parental leave for all employees, even those who aren’t eligible for FMLA. After the paid 6 weeks, the employee can choose to continue paid leave using any accrued personal leave.

Texas does not have a paid parental leave statute.

If paid leave above what is required is offered for parents, do we also have to provide the same benefit to other employees that are eligible for unpaid leave?

I have a MHA, MBA, and BSHA. I’m wanting to get into a supervisor or manger role but I don’t have the experience. I just started a new job and this is the first time I’ve ran into this. It sounds nice but at the same time I hate the lack of direction. Help!

I'm not in sales per se but I manage my company's largest wholesale account ($150 million per/yr account). It's a great company, awesome culture, good benefits, flexibility, but the pay is not great ($60K/yr). All the pros outweighed the mediocre pay, but now with inflation rising, my paycheck isn't going as far and I'm having a really hard time trying to figure out if I should start looking elsewhere or if I should ask my boss for a raise.

Tips for 6-month eval? Originally hired at 35K as assistant and was told if I performed well, I could expect to make 50K after a year. After one week, the operations manager resigned and I took over as a trial. Officially am operations manager, but no title (only verbal) and no raise. Owner likes benefits over big pay raises. Misled on Maternity Leave Policy. I found out I only get 4 weeks pay for maternity leave (STD +“sick days”). I will take 12 weeks but wont get paid for 8 weeks. I work for a US, west coast based company in the tech/VC industry. Their website claims to offer “paid parental leave and other progressive benefits for parents”. I didn’t find out until after I was hired their pay was only 8 weeks but since I have been at the company less than 12 months, I don’t qualify for their policy. Is this unfair?

I’ve been working for my State Farm agency as a team member for 2 years. I am licensed in property and casualty as well as life and health, but only make $13 an hour.
