PwC interviewed me for Manager role in workday practice and came back with an offer for Sr. Associate role with a far less base salary than what I am making now. Is it a routine negotiation trick ? Overall 13+ years of experience but new in WD. However WD FIN and PM certified.

Why are sizable salary bumps offered for switching firms, even for the same role? What’s the methodical rationale for this practice? Is the initial increase somewhat sustained or quickly normalized?

What's the deal with analyst and sr analyst roles? My company says it's the great resignation, but I'm really struggling hiring this level.
