What’s the difference between FAAS and FDD? Also which one pay better?

It’s hard to trust the partners/leadership when they want us to return to office as being better when we increase offshoring? Also, the pressure on billable hours when all that really matters is how much our fixed labor costs vs. how much we can bill (which is usually fixed fee or at least a range) and the fixed labor costs of offshoring is significantly cheaper so the hours don’t matter. Am I mistaken by this viewpoint?

Who is still in denial about a housing correction? The Fed just made another .75% increase. Powell said they won’t stop until inflation is 2%. He also said a recession would be better than the consequences of unchecked inflation. He announced he will bring rates to a “restrictive level” until “the job is done”. He said that labor demand needs to soften (ie: layoffs). He very explicitly said he wants to slash demand and that housing needs a “correction”.

I have been tagged for this project that doesn’t start until June 10th. My utilization is going to drop significantly but at the same time the deployment team cannot present me elsewhere. Ugh!

Latinx - help! We used this term in our diversity spotlight discussing Hispanic Heritage Month. One individual said that in English a group of Latinos would just be Latins to be gender neutral. General question: Is there any room in corporate America for real, actionable DE&I discussions and initiatives? I've observed so many corporate versions become an advertising strategy (SM posts, diversity reports) without doing the actual work (increasing representation in senior leadership, salary analyses, having an effective reporting system for bias). Is this just how it is?
