I thought my record had been expunged but they knew about it. They gave me a chance to come clean. Once I told them what happened there was no issue and process continued as normal
Even if it is expunged they will still see it because of the nature of what you are applying for. Come clean and tell him otherwise they will see you as untrustworthy and will deny.
P1, M1 I was thinking it would be best to disclose since they will have access to the info. Hoping that it won't ding me, sick of waiting in regular lines at the airport
Probably. They're pretty strict about it. I'm brown and muslim and so were my room mates in college. The interview was going well till he found out I travel back home to Middle East/South Asia pretty frequently. They said they needed to do more research. A week later I get a call and they asked me about my room mates BY NAME. Was given the green light eventually but from my experience they don't take this shit lightly

Again, I would not lie. Expungement does not mean anything when you are talking about clearance levels like global entry.
My freshman year for possession of a small amount of pot (went to school in a conservative state). I was never convicted of anything and it has been expunged from my record, but wondering how to approach this
When you go to your interview the officer will mention it and tell you to get a copy of the disposition and fax it to them. They'll review and more than likely approve. Could save time by just getting a copy and bringing it with you to your interview now that you now
Depends. At time of my application, I had two DUOs and two misdemeanors (A&B). Passed with flying colors. Since it was so minor that your public record has been expunged, you should be ok. Good luck!
*DUI
Yes, disclose up front. They will see it anyway and it will look like you're trying to hide something. I don't think you can expunge records from government inquiries - expungement only works for private searches (e.g., employment background checks)
EY2 is correct. You can't expunge from government inquiries.
Got a public intoxication when I was in college. If it's expunged you are not legally required to divulge anything about it. They asked me if I had been arrested, I said no. There were no problems and I was approved
That's so asinine... We're not talking about TS/SCI clearance... That article was alarming.
Another close friend and colleague of mine had a theft charge expunged from college. He also said he had never been arrested, was approved with no problems
