Question for the bowl: what is your current role are you practicing agile delivery and any tips for the agile fishes out there?

Considering a role in Citi advertised as being in Charlotte NC. Is Citi largely remote or will the expectation be to move?

I’ve been on the bench with J1 for about 3 months. I was worried that because I couldn’t find another project, I would get laid off so I found J2, which pays more, is very meeting heavy, but I really like. I’ve kept J1 because I’m still on the bench doing absolutely nothing and getting paid. Thinking about looking for a role on a project with J1 that’s not along my career path but will allow for me to do work with no calls so that I can manage both jobs. Does anyone have experience or advice?

Taking my shot in tech sales. Consulting was great experience but enjoyed the relationship and BD aspect more and didn’t see myself climbing to partner. Hello all, i have. A question regarding compensation for a lateral move. I just received a job offer for an UA position from a competing cyber insurance carrier for $70,000 + bonuses. This job will be based out of San Francisco. I currently make $30/hour for the same role in Chicago, after OT it’s about $60,000. Do you think it would be wise to accept the offer? Thoughts in general?

Some recruiter in Accenture lined me up for an interview for a role which was not in my skillset ( by saying that this is just an evaluation exercise and they will map me to the right role) and obviously I got rejected. Now I see that I am not eligible to apply the role which I was targeting for the next 6 months. Any idea how can I get this escalated so that the recruiter ( Accenture employee) should at least be careful in future before fooling a noob like me?

Interesting topic: Agile community, there are conflicting thoughts around measuring teams velocity, the spanner comes from many organizations using metrics to micro manage teams, are you pro or against?

At my company, the conventional wisdom is that agile projects aren’t deadline-driven. What’s your experience? Do you drive projects based on a target date?

Last week team dynamics took a turn for the worst (even tho in each retro the team always commend each other, you would think team work is great). Team members get agitated with each other for being slow.
