They can look for scholarships from the state or specific subject area they want to get a degree in. The rest will likely be loans.
Definitely look into state schools vs private institutions
Also if they’re working, have them looking into their company’s tuition assistance/reimbursement programs. Congrats to them both for not giving up on their goals.
Check that the credits they previously acquired have not expired (expiration depends on the school they attended at the time.) Look for schools that meet their needs (in-person vs. online, field of interest, etc.) Graphic design can be done in a bootcamp vs. college format. Checkout professional organizations/ associations for their fields of interest. They usually offer scholarships, education resources, and job opportunities. Even though you wish to help in anyway you can, do not offer what you cannot afford.
What are they planning to study? There are sometimes scholarships based on what you choose to study.
I would definitely go the public school route for undergrad. I did that when I decided to complete my degree after a baby induced hiatus. I did really well and tuition was less than $5k/year. I went to law school on a full scholarship.
Some community colleges have relationships with state 4-year colleges where you get massive financial aid if you earn a certain gpa at the community college level.
They want to study accounting and graphic design respectively
Accounting should have lots of scholarships. May be able to start working before completing degree to pay for school. Not sure about graphic design
