Final round interview last week after a long take home case study. They’ve have been good about communication up until recently. Starting to think I’m getting ghosted. When should I follow up?

I spoke with a recruiter recently about a position in her company and before we even began talking about the job, she asked if I needed an sponsorship, I told her no, I dont need one. But she continued to press on the subject until I had to tell her I was a US citizen. I dont know why, but the whole conversation made me extremely uncomfortable. So my question is, can recruiters ask you about your visa/immigration status even when I told her I didnt need a sponsorship??

Does anyone have any good one day engineering challenges for 8th graders to help tune them in this time of year?

I am looking to move because for some reason I am hand-held a lot and given simpler tasks, so I am getting bored and want more challenging / much more fast paced environment. Also kind of bored because I am on one project for a long time and I want exposure to variety of projects. Is this a fair answer or would I be seen as arrogant? Do you have many LGBT friends and do you necessarily care if you do or don’t? I have one gay friend who I catch up with occasionally and I think my husband has two. I never really cared either way about it, however I feel like I’m at that point where you primarily make new friends through existing ones, and they are having children and making other “parent” friends. Between that and living in a SFH neighborhood in the suburbs, I’ve changed my viewpoint over the last few months.

Had what had to be the best call with a recruiter I’ve ever had — she seemed so excited to pass my work to her teams, received the sweetest follow up email from her, but now it seems like she’s ghosting me. UGHHHHH. Any words of wisdom or advice? Feeling bummed because I was super excited about this opportunity.

Email response from a resume submission requesting times to chat and that she's " really looking forward to speaking with me." Three email replies later - crickets. I'm so tired of this shit...

Sadly a lot of recruiters are unemployed and being ghosted themselves.

Hopefully this pandemic will open the eyes of some on the practice of ghosting...

Had interviews at three different places recently, all of which seemed to go well. Recruiters/HR people told me they’d be in touch with next steps end of last week or early this week. Haven’t heard from any of the three and none of them have responded to follow-up emails 🙃

So pretty much everyone... sigh

Ghosting after on-site interviews is despicable. Recruiting has been a part of my job for years in addition to resourcing & project management, and I would always manage to reply emails.

Agency flys me out then decides not to hire me. Told me to keep receipts from the trip. I’ve sent over 3 emails about it. No response. Unsaid rule about not getting hired that you got to pay for it?!?

Anyone else get ghosted by more than one recruiter at the same agency? Thought I would have better luck when the first recruiter who was notorious for ghosting left but the new one ghosted me too...
