I am going through interview process in Nielseniq currently for Big data engineer role.
Total Yoe - 3.3 years
Current salary - 15 + 1 Lpa approx.
Joined Sapient only six months back.

I read it as standards need to be expanded. They could have written the article better.
Grades are a stupid way to evaluate whether someone will be successful at a law firm anyway. Some of our worst associates had the best grades and vice versa.
I’ve seen partners give massive discretionary bonuses to white male attorneys who didn’t even make their hours just because they get along. So they standards are already different for different people
I think looking beyond certain schools alone would help a ton. No need to go beyond grades.
Recognition that the system/standards is rigged in favor of those with money and access in the first instance. Hence, a concerted effort must be made to expand the criteria to truly find some talent.
I disagree. I just thinking they're saying the standards are too narrow.
Of course you would have this view when that’s not what the article says at all.
Expanded ≠ lowered, and such expansion would be good for firm culture overall
