4 YOE... 135k base. Did my undergrad at south Carolina. No mba, no cfa, no frm, no nothing. You're getting low.balled buddy

like

Where? Sounds like maybe IBM or Deloitte

No bonus?
135K is kinda low in NYC for MBA and 6 years of experience.

I did the converter and looks like 135K in NYC is like 65K in cities in Texas 😬 which is like undergrad campus level starting salary for lower tiered firm

like

You should definitely be getting a bigger package with that resume

like

Its low.

They aren’t paying you the rate for MBAs. You should be looking at 150 base with a stated bonus target of 15-30%

like

You could do better my friend

like

Is your MBA T20? If not, that’s why it’s low.

CFA and MBA? Definitely smart, gotta get that 🍞 fam!

What are the special skills IITians possess that they are par from even 10-15Yoe in other companies while being freshers only?

What work will they do at such companies that they are being offered this much?

What non-IITians with experience should do to get similar salaries?

While I'm aware that ~$100K is average to good salary for fresh graduates in US but some companies offering similar in India!

I don’t have pharma experience but this agency is still interested in me so I’m wondering if what I’m asking for is too high?

Im currently trying to switch from the RE finance industry to tech as a project manager. My current title is project manager w/ 4yrs experience and over 10 years of transferable skills. Ive also recently obtained my CAPM. In my current job I dont feel as if Im gaining any of the project management skills. Considering everything I’ve had to learn. My company does not use any PM softwares. For someone in my position would a salary range of $80-$90k be considered too low, or too high?

$1.5M client and new “profitability tool” showing %0 profit. Credit split 50/50 btw 20 year attorney/equity partner (JEP) and a much more senior/connected EP (SEP). Both SEP and JEP developed separate workstreams unrelated to the other. SEP‘s was terminated 3 years ago and only accounts for $200K trail off of the $1.5M. SEP’s salary is 3 times JEP’s. Profitability tool “costs” are not transparent, suspect SEP’s high salary is a factor. Anything (other than typical overhead) to ask about?

Can someone help me understand the pros and cons of MBB vs PE Ops (at A MF, think BS, KKR etc)? I'm looking into in terms of WLB, culture, personal growth, hierarchical-ness, comp, calibre (and attitude) of colleagues, respect (vs deals colleagues) etc.

I received a job offer for a PM position with a base of $125K and a 10% bonus, fully remote and ok benefits. The parental leave is pretty bad, just FMLA and STD/LTD so the most I’d get is 60% of my salary for 12 weeks. I’ve cancelled most of my interviews except for one where the pay is $135K, 20% bonus, hybrid schedule, good benefits and 16 weeks fully paid parental leave. I’d like to start my family in a year or two - is it better to take the remote gig or the hybrid role with full paid leave?

I’m asking this because IB recruitment is in the spring, and I thought it would be meaningful to include it. I am mainly curious about the bullet points. Would it be valid to not have any or to just have one that says something like “Accepted offer on Nov”?
