depends what you want to do. WLB will be very bad. Audit is actually better WLB. DM if you want to talk details
Hard disagree on wlb. Since I transferred from audit to FDD, my hours are down ~15% annually. Only difference is that in audit, all of the bad weeks are concentrated in first 3 months of the year. FDD, I'd say it's generally a coin toss if a deal is bad or not.
Hi, I’m currently interviewing. How was your interview?
Take it! Better pay and exit opportunities! The WLB ebbs and flows so that is a personal decision but I'd take it if I were you.
Depends on what you want out of your career. FDD or M&A is inherently better for your career growth vs staying in audit. But if your goal is to stick around in audit to go private in a few years as a senior accountant / manager and work your way up to controller then that’s fine. But if you go FDD then I have seen manager from FDD to controller pivots which are easier pivots.
WLB can suck depending on deal timelines but if you’re early in your career, worry about WLB when you’re older and grind now. Just my two cents but have successfully pivoted from Audit to FDD to Deal Analytics all within 6 years based on what I want to do long term.
Also if you’re transferring internally then likely getting low balled so you can do a year in FDD and leave to another big 4 for a bigger bump.
