Finance is broad, would take tech sales over something like financial reporting but not over something like investment banking

Probably finance. Depends on what you like but I think there is more flexibility. Tech sales can be commission mostly so you are subject to pressure to hit your numbers. And if the economy turns it could be harder in sales
Sales leaves opportunity for more comp as mentioned, but as a recent grad (Dec ‘22) I’ve found it impossible to even get an interview outside of sales after realizing it’s not for me even with my success.
From my perspective it seems that sales can always be an option with finance experience, but the inverse is not as you’ll be ineligible for entry level roles after your 2 years post grad and be competing against others with experience outside the entry level realm.
Depends do you enjoy selling and creating your own leads?
Or do you prefer a more analytical and reporting role.
Both are extremely different.
Higher risk with a sales role but opportunity for higher comp.
Tech sales
I'd say tech sales because I think you should go into something that AI cannot replace. Sales requires the human touch, and I don't think if you're in that area, AI can replace your job.
