What are your thoughts on the Scrum Master role? I’ve worked with a few now and out of 5 of them, only 1 seemed to be of any help. Most of the time we have to explain every detail multiple times and they still don’t understand what we’re doing. I am supposed to join PwC India (management consulting) in 3 weeks. PWC offered me a 23% hike on base pay which was fine 2 months back.

Now in efforts to retain, my firm is revising pay and will probably match that hike and there will also be a 20% bonus.

Can I use these data points to leverage a joining bonus from PwC? What are your thoughts?
