Best standing desk for home use?
Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

I bought a used (effectively brand new) HM Aeron for $300 off FB marketplace - many similar priced ones available (NE US that is)
2nd hand HM Aeron and other chairs is definitely in that budget. In addition to checking marketplace and kijiji and such you can also look at office furniture stores, specially those that have 2nd hand ones. If you want brand new chair, I would recommend visiting office furniture stores and try out different chairs. Source Office Furniture has a few locations in GTA but there are many similar stores.
Can't recommend SecretLabs chairs enough. It's a gaming chair brand, but they have some elegant black leather or fabric designs that are good for professionals
I got an Aeron for 450, also on marketplace/Kijiji.
I have the Amia from Steelcase (certainly not the most budget friendly) but the brand itself (Steelcase) has other options you can take a look at that are in the $600ish range. It certainly is worth the money imo, and is the best chair I’ve had in a very, very long time. I have justified the expense given the health issues I’ve developed from sitting for so long in uncomfortable seating.
