A1 75, A2 89, A3 108, SA147
S& is a cohort model. So you go A1, A2, A3, SA1, SA2, SA3, etc... One year at each level, typically 3 levels per grade, and you can sometimes skip levels to move up grades (I went straight from SA2 to M1).
EAs no longer exist - they have been phased into the cohort model as A2 or A3 as of the start of the new fiscal year on July 1st
Is there a difference between MBA SA and non-MBA SA at Strategy&?
You're an associate for 3 years typically, then an SA.
Is there a typical timeframe for incoming EAs to move up to SAs? Also is there a pay difference between SAs coming in from bschool vs being promoted from A vs being promoted from EA?

Whats EA? Executive Associate? God I hope that's now a thing...

A3 to SA1 is that big of a jump?! Damn..
I guess an EA falls somewhere in the A range, the entry point likely being determined by how much experience that person has. Is this the case, or is there payment disparity between EAs and As?
Thank you all - you have all been very helpful.
I don't think we have EAs, I know PwC advisory does though. The cohorts are strictly as outlined above
A3 is less than 108 I think
LinkedIn says there are some EAs in strategy& - some look like pwc/other firm transfers, does anyone know how compensation/promotion works for them?
Ohh okay, interesting...
No
If strategy& recruiters are recruiting for an EA position, and I'm under the impression of recruiting for a strategy& position (s& interviewees), Is there a possibility that I'm getting shafted and will get offered a PwC position?
I wouldn't think so. It would probably just translate to A2 or A3, since you'd be coming in with experience.
Are you counseled out if you don't make SA after having been hired in at an A3 level? Might be risky seeing as I'd only be on the job for half a year, if I am extended an offer after I get through the recruiting process
*don't make SA in the performance year you get hired
