If you have been through four interviews, it sounds like they are pretty serious about finding the right person for the role. If they want you, they'll have to pay you what you are worth. I would go back to them with a counter. The worst they can say is no.
I would ask for 10% above what they offered. Formerly working at blackrock , the bonuses are solid, so should be fairly compensated when you consider total comp
Hopefully you didn't lowball you salary. Go back at them with a counter, or even work out other benefits to the side of sticking with the lower salary.
Ask them what’s their current paybands-highest and lowest for the similar position that you applied to. If the company is in CA or NY, they are obliged to. To see where your offer stations which tells how they perceive your values. Even if you’re at the top band from their standard, still write a long specific bullet pointed letter that shows values you’ll add and why you deserve more than the current offer. If you’re at the bottom of their current band as well, then more reason to do so.
