Promo not guaranteed. Go for the sure thing.
Leave gracefully and Can always do 2yrs and boomerang back if you don't like pwc
“Senior Consultant at Deloitte is equivalent to Manager at other big 4s”

Yup, + you would be eligible for up to a 20% bonus (with a 1-2% probability of a top rating as a new hire) 😅
No way in hell you are getting anywhere near that max bonus, but title is legit.
I wouldn’t do it just for the money, but makes sense if you think PwC is a better opportunity and or like the people and culture better.
Ever seen that happen in an experienced hire’s first year?
No - presumably you have momentum and relationships at D and I’d expect to more than close that gap at YE, especially if promoted. I think people under estimate the transaction costs of a change on this forum

I would. It’d be nice to try and negotiate more salary ($165k) but I think it’s still a good offer assuming non-mba
Let me break it down for you: Deloitte is probably giving us a crappy bonus AGAIN.
You’re getting 44k more pay if you accept that offer, plus the title. Deloitte is probably going to give you a 4K bonus and 3k raise this year MAYBE. That’s a 37k difference at best case scenario
If bonus is from one of the LOS (tax, asr , adv) and not S&, number is inflated. Source: SM Tier 1 yoy. I too was lied to by HR.
Next year? Nah leave now
IMO the pay increase is marginal, if it was a 20%+ bump it’s a no brainer since it’s ultimately unlikely you’ll get that this year.
You have to consider the value of your relationships especially if you are going for the long haul to PPMD. It will be a little harder when you have to rebuild support from the ground up again.
That said you can always boomerang back in a year or so
Yes. No question.
Culture is better, for the most part.
Yes come joins us! 😅
It depends which practice as the partner determines your future. I wouldn’t move to PwC, ( from a 2 decade veteran of PwC), my mates who moved to Deloitte are all a lot happier than me. Leaving the firm now for Corp .
How many yoe do you have total? And what city
7, Chicago
Yes. Guaranteed title raise vs a potential title raise.
What practice and total YOE?
SAP, 7+
I'd stay if you're relatively happy and entrenched where you are and jump in 1-3 years for something better and/or after you make M at D. Moving jobs is exhausting.
