My wife has 5 years of experience in Banking Industry now she want to switch her career in IT, she has worked as coding instructor for html/css/js/react native, she has React certification as well. Now she is ready to take interviews.

Analysts are coming in at 85 now. Absolutely push for more.

Say 110k tbh wtf
Wtf 85k for SC?!?!?
Even for GPS that’s low. They offered me 130 for SC.
Ask for 100 plus 10k signing
Sound like advisory (not consulting), so this salary is on par with the pay band
This salary is not on par with the pay and for an SC in advisory in a HCOL. Analysts come in at 75K
Was hoping for closer to 95 base fwiw
Yeah, that’s low. Definitely ask for more
I should mention that I have less than 2 YOE (very close though), so idk how much that impacts things
@D1 don’t want to give too much detail here since it’s a smaller group but US based advisory specifically working on the execution of a niche type of capital markets transaction
@SM1 thanks for the advice! I told them what I’m anticipating from some other companies I’m interviewing with and what I would get at my firm in a lower cost of living city so hopefully they come back with a better offer
Nothing below 120, I was making 110 with 4 YoE
Came in at 85 as a 1st year C 4 years ago. My peers came in at 90-95ish as C as well. You should def be in the 110 range or higher even
Also keep in mind they’ll use this to hold your salary very low for the next 3-4 years as an SC. Only when you get to manager will they bump you to 115plus
