Second guessing going to a larger accounting firm.. local to national. Giving notice tomorrow.

Liked at current firm and enjoy public accounting.

Anyone have any thoughts

Work like you have a chip on your shoulder, B4 teams sometimes have the ewww someone non-B4 POV

You will love the new firm! More broad experiences, greater resources and technology available to you, and more people to work with. There will be a learning curve but I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Good luck!! 👍🏻

1. What should I tell to the interviewer, if he asks why am I looking to move out of a firm within a month?
2. What should I tell to my existing firm? If they ask me a reason for moving out?

Our group recently began a mentoring program - 1st through 5th years get paired up with 6th year+ associates or partners and are encouraged to meet up (virtually) at least a couple times a month. I've never really had a proper mentor before - they've always been super formal and fizzled out after 1-2 sessions. I think it'll be different this time since I've worked with this person a lot and they seem eager to start, but I don't know what to talk about. What are good topics/questions to discuss?
