I joined Tiger Analytics with CTC of 9lpa. When I check in greythr IT statement, it shows 7.14lpa.
In the CTC payslip, it shows 75k per month as my salary. But this month I got 61k.
I understand they deduct tax, but I feel it is too much. IDK where I'm losing the money. Can someone tell if this is normal. I'm a fresher so, IDK much about it.
Also, what can I do to pay less taxes? Any help on that?

At SM — I don’t think LLM or masters matters anymore?
I don’t work in the NYC area, but I expect it’s higher than Southern California — it’s about $160-220k here depending on your experience level. I’d put at least a 10-15% increase in NYC.
NYC tax is 160-300 approx. It’s totally dependent on experience and book.
Glassdoor (for EY) says 170 - 275, which seems pretty consistent with the comments above. There’s a huge range for SMs because their level of experience and specialties vary so much.
I will be surprised but may be... any inputs on salary range in NYC?
