Bain & Company Can someone recommend a good starting point on how to go around solving case interviews? What frameworks should I follow? I am kinda new to case interview and want to develop skills to solve them. Any books, online sources would be really appreciable. Creeper vibe
If you’re already interviewing, why not ask whoever is coordinating the interview stuff to connect you two? What else do you want to get out of it?

If you have a connection like same school or something then sure but cold emailing them may not help much

Eh, unless you interviewed with that person - I’d say no. Don’t be weird.
Cold messaging for networking is fine - no creeper vibes at all from me.
Just be sure you get your intention across -
“Hi ___,
I am currently interviewing for a role with the practice you are working in, would love to here you thoughts and experience with the practice so far and any advice you may have for the interview stages.
I am really excited about the opportunity.”
Most times it’s more useful to reach out to a person who is doing a similar role or at a similar level that you are applying for that way they can give you great tips :)
Fair, I’ve received a few of these and most were vague on the point of connecting so I gave weak responses/ignored.
But when they were clear that they wanted advice on the application process or to understand the culture of the team, I would set up a 30 min phone call to help them out.
I sent a few of those cold LinkedIn messages when I was a student 2 years ago and it was such a boost to meet people willing to help out :)
Do you have a mutual friend who can help with the connection?
