Maybe not more in terms of salary... but cover the travel expenses/parking/food for the day/etc. Why waste 1-2hours round trip when you can get the same thing done @ home?

I am confused by question like this; for 35 years when required I willing went into an office. It was a condition of my employment, and still see as a condition of my employment to be physically present where my employer requires. I am a remote employee, and have been virtual on and off since 1995. So the whole concept of having some new right to expect additional payment for being required to be present at a designated work location if foreign to me.

With that said, if my employer did not require my physical presence at a designs work location within reasonable driving distance from my home, and then changed to require my physical presence; I’d have to understand the reason why the change. Did my the requirements of my function change, is there a perceived performance problem…what is at the root of the request. Before I reacted, would start there because if the role requirements have change, there might be cause for a financial accommodation or an offer for a mutual separation agreement in line with corporate severance practices. If it is performance related, while different situation I will wade into the treacherous waters to comment.

I think the only time the answer to this is yes is if you were originally told you’d be working from home, and now you have to go in office

For anyone who receives a quarterly bonus or raise in some form, does your employer start to schedule you for less hours when your raise kicks in, or pull you from a future schedule entirely once you receive a bonus; only to put you back on once the hours you would have worked and earned the amount given are passed? Ie; a part time employee getting $200.00 in a quarterly bonus and then not being scheduled a whole week during a bi-weekly pay period where they would have earned more on the clock…?
