Hi everyone. I am posting to find out what Registered Nurses are starting off at in Florida per hr? Specifically Registered Nurses in the speciality area of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Also, What should a nurse with 7 years of experience be making per hr? I have been offered a job in Florida ( I am currently practicing in Toronto, Canada) and am wondering what is a reasonable rate to accept as what I’ve been offered is much lower than what I currently make.
Thank you!!! Xx

Best self-help books on the market? I've been consistently unhappy lately. Something needs to change.

At what point do you accept that working in finance will probably require a longer work week than normal?

I work for a company that boasts work life balance, and not working overtime which is a gross misalignment to how busy we are. It’s almost like it’s unwritten that everybody works overtime but the spoken narrative is completely different.

For instance, at my level I could easily tell my manager that what I have to do will require longer hours, but at the risk of looking incompetent

I’ve been activity looking for new paralegal roles but my last position was working in the public sector. Some have told me that it’s a pro, others have said that it’s a con. I’m largely applying for positions in the private sector now, and I’ve found that I don’t have many of the entry level skills like e-filing that employers expect. Is there any alternative to taking on a role that is completely entry-level to gain those?

Working on a busy project with a first year and it’s their first big project since starting big law. I’m also a junior, but not a first year. I am kind of shocked at how inefficient the first year is. They’re just barely getting the work done and I assume that’s all you can ask for. But because of that, more and more keeps getting added to my plate. Trying to be compassionate, but it seems like they don’t really care they’re not doing a great job - they log off early, don’t always turn in work.
