After 18 years, I lost my art room to a classroom this year in order to spread out kids due to Covit19. They said we can’t hand out papers.. kinda thinking art is remote for all. I will do lessons on google classroom with live lesson to classrooms and home. I was told special area teachers may be “repurposed”. We will be used like a TA. Please, I am looking for ideas to motivate a virtual class. We want to set up a rewards program. However, we don’t want to reward for what the are supposed to complete. We’re looking for above and beyond. Example; helping a fellow student with technical support. We also thought of homework passes & lunch with a teacher, because we are a virtual school independent study program. We see students for a short amount of time on zoom. Should I take this new job?

Been at current agency for a year, loved it and love my team. Pros: Benefits are great, as is the mentorship and work is generally quite stable. Cons: Lower paid

The new agency is smaller and benefits aren’t as good but I’ll get a +45% pay increase and title bump. Work is different to what I’m used to which is both exciting and daunting (imposter syndrome will no doubt kick in!).

Ideal situation would have been to stay in current role another year or two... help!

Hi all—I’m working on a training curriculum at my employer. Has anyone used Rise software & if so any input as to how it’s worked/not worked?

My company’s SOP template has a table of contents and a section at the top where the SOP owner is supposed to add a short statement containing the “Why” of the SOP, meaning a statement about what the SOP is supposed to solve for/ accomplish. A co-worker recently told me that it should also contain a checklist of the 4-5 main points of what the team member should know how to do after reading the SOP…. This seems really redundant to me. Thoughts?

I applied for a Director Learning and Development (L&D) role at McKinsey about a month ago via a referral. About a week ago, my McKinsey employee (who referred me) received an automated email saying that I had moved to the pre-screening process of the recruitment process and that I'll hear from the recruiter shortly.

It's more than a week now and I haven't heard back. Can anyone shed light on the process -- what to expect, timelines, what is the interview process like, etc.

I am currently an HR professinal of 3 years with past background as a teacher/advisor in higher ed. I am aiming to pivot to a more L&D, training specialist type role in order to leverage the skills obtained in both areas. It would be the perfect career for me.
