Someone on my team just scheduled a call for 4:30 on Friday (tomorrow). Does your company schedule right up to the last minute on a weekend?

Yeah... if things need to get done then they should get done during the work week. Better than having the meeting on the weekend.

Unless you work 7-4, I don’t see an issue with it.

I’ve worked at a place that mandated all meeting be between 9 - 3. That way work can be done before and after.

It depends, but they are generally very mindful about it!

What's your typical workday hours? If it's 8-5, then a 4:30 meeting on Friday is perfectly ok. Likely, the engagement won't be great and there will be some people missing due to leaving work early on Friday, but that can happen at 8am meetings as well.

7-3 :)

Yes this has happened a few times but with people at much higher positions than me and this is the only time they had generally and so usually going into this meeting it is brief and very concise as the individual who scheduled it also wants to get to their weekend too.

Now we are generally done with meeting by 3 on Friday
