Here’s the secret: they all suck. Choose the 1 which is a hub at your local or client location. Then look at which 1 has better intl partnerships to places you travel/want to travel
@M1 on point!
Agreed. All about where you want to go or where you travel most. I love SWA I also travel to family and SO’s fam a combined 3-4 times a year and like to make those trips free. Still have plenty of US travel to do. But if my goal was international I’d switch to UA(local hub). So it depends.
Fully agreed with M1. It's also worth checking for airline partnerships with hotel groups. For example, Marriott and United have a partnership that will give you silver status on United if you have platinum with Marriott (or SPG through status match).
For personal travel, I like Southwest best because you don’t lose ticket value if you have to cancel! Used to fly Chicago > Columbus roundtrip a lot around holidays and had my fight cancelled 3 different times by AA/United. Never had a flight cancelled by southwest!
Southwest is the best hands down and overall. The one catch, no real upgrades, and limited international travel. Delta is a very far second and United (although their HQ is in my city) is 3rd if not 4th on my list
