I think it is too low
Any bonus? Seems low. With 3 years experience they can get a senior analyst position. Aim for 90k + and bonus/equity
way to low. With 3 YOE in PA she should be getting senior accountant positions
Experience is as staff accountant, not PA. But for sure CPA should demand a higher salary

We? Spouse can ask for more. It's their offer. 🙄
And yes, that is low.
Dumb comment, spouses make decisions together.
She was not in PA before. Her first job was a Staff Accountant at a corporate. Left after 3 years because of pregnancy, Covid, baby. Now just start looking and applied one 5 mins away from our home…. Otherwise we would not take the 73k but it is 5 mins away from home…
73k is low - ish but if her previous experience was not very technical, hard to argue for much more
Even still, 73k is low. counter 10k higher. She really should be applying for senior accountant roles. Staff accountant is for new hires
Also take into account that little travel time/travel costs, and easy to get back home to your little one if needed when people are back working in the office. If the work is good experience and hours are good, that counts for something.
Agree with low and try to counter nothing to lose. Personally with family and 5 min commute I would accept it, but also would negotiate to around $80k or see the timeline for a salary progression of the role.
No bonus guaranteed. Offer letter said bonus is at management discretionary.
Not terrible. Maybe she has an opportunity to get promoted to senior and make ~$90k
73k is LOW depending on where you are in NJ, yikes.

Seems too low. Should be closer to 90K at least

With CPA and 3 years of experience staff accounting position is too low. Could get senior or manager
