Till when WFH for EY GDS Bangalore?
Do you prefer wfh or in office, and why?
Prediction: Maybe companies realize WFH actually works. And several of them stop paying absurd rent for large commercial real estate space. Half the company becomes WFH. People move out of NYC (cntd)
Starting a new firm, WFH next week. I am based in West Coast but the offer is out of East Coast, the firm is aware of this and I will be moving in a few months. It says log on at 9am local time. Is this West Coast time or East Coast time?

Back in the day, I did my own PR, sales & marketing for whatever business idea I was running with at the time. What’s a good remote sales opportunity I can do anywhere in the world that won’t be painful or too high touch? Where I can use my social & business skills (markets, law, cloud, publishing, media, logistics, algos, social media, books, ebooks, design, podcasting, marketing, press release writing, voiceover, journalism) to earn a few extra shillings?

My company’s new hybrid working model was finally announced. We’re in a high COL west coast city, but not tech so pay is mediocre. Option A is office/wfh combo. The office downsized, so hot desking 3 days, WFH 2 days. No stipend for supplies, internet, phone. Option B- We can apply for FT remote if we move, but will get a paycut for lower COL areas. No raises for higher COL moves. Still no stipend. Multi-billion $ company, did great bc of the pandemic. How mad should I be?
Is it a good idea to live in a bunch of different cities for a month each while WFH is still a thing? I'm young and it sounds like a fun thing to do before I'm more tied down, but I'm slightly worried I'll never have enough time to make friends anywhere I go. Perhaps I can get a baseline amount of social interaction through dates and rec leagues. Any thoughts on if this is a good idea or what heuristics you would recommend I use to select the cities?
I read an article about companies planning to increase remote work even after it’s safe to go back to work. The first question was “How does your company measure productivity?”. Why don’t big 4 consider other was to capture productivity? Utilization is such a huge factor in big4 but capturing productivity within that is a lot harder to measure. Thoughts on big4 moving to a productivity model over hours model?
I definitely have leanings towards the FIRE movement. Has the WFH environment/dip in market swayed anyone’s opinions one way or another?

How have you all been setting boundaries from work? I've been working 10-12 hour days now since March and I'm just really struggling. And the rest is not because I do not get my work done. My client right now stretches between NY to AZ and Asia hours. So I start at 8:30/9am and do not get off the phone until 10pm, sometimes 11pm.
