You’re not leaving until 9am? I’ll contact deployment to let them know you’ll be rolling off.
Contacted your director. They meant 11 tonight. Please meet me at 27.001 tomorrow at 10:00. Bring your laptop.
So much shade in this post, not everyone is forced to take a 6am flight
The director gets in at 11 and said we’d Uber over together, and I’m landing earlier but ty for the support lol
So many colleagues with a stick up their bum; no one cares about what would or would not fly on your project. OP asked a question, you provided zero value; now that’s disrespectful.
OP, get there around 7.
@SM1 - if I’m staffed on your project and you treat us like that, I’ll roll myself off before you can even email resource management
Boards at 8:15 then, so probably aim to get there around 7?
Because I’m being very serious right now....
This is true. Many are allowed the night flight on Sundays. So many options! You’re welcome!
Figure out which delta terminal (delta has 2 at LGA). The line does get really long and esp as you’re prob less familiar with things give yourself a bit more time to start. 7 will with time feel early but it should do you. It’s great that you have a situation where you can take a 9 am. You will find those are much more humane than the 6 ams you may have in the future. I’ve done cases where it was easy to avoid the 6 am and ones where it wasn’t. Good luck! Oh - and actually you can sign up for Clear at LGA delta terminals and that is totally worth it to skip line. Takes five minutes to sign up so if the line is really long would do that
Funny. But on a serious note, plan to get there around 11 tonight.
Haha would love to work SM1 one day, seems like he hasn’t lost his funny bones despite being in consulting
So, to answer your question...on a Monday morning with no status and no precheck...I’d be there by 6:15/6:30. Line can get REALLY long depending upon terminal.
7:30 at the terminal should be fine. Watch out for traffic as you get into the terminal (can be faster to get out and walk the last few minutes if it's congested).
And good luck on the project!
Just to add to what everybody else are saying, change your flight, no one flies at 9am on a Monday
I left my previous firm because management were assholes. While they spend their sundays with their families I had to take a sunday 10am flight every damn week because we had to be onsite on the east coast at 9am and I was traveling from the west coast, for 1.5yr... so i quit. Took a job where i was respected as a human being, pays much more and respects my personal time.
Go get your global entry my friend, it's so much worth it
Why would you leave at 10am?
D1 that might be right and fair game if you’re flying long distance/international where time diff is a factor but OP flies at 9 and states they arrive before 11 so less than 2h flight and you can’t take an earlier flight and be at client site at decent hour?? This would be unacceptable on my projects - disrespectful to client
do ppl not realize that people are joking in here? Projects are obv different.. some clients dont mind/know if you show up at noon on a Monday....
