Can a law firm in CA rescind an offer if background check reveals an omitted employment history? Worked at a firm for 2-3 months back in 2019 that wasn’t a good fit. How do you not take a layoff due to RIF (involuntary reduction) personally? I was told it is not personal. All full time positions except 1 were let go. Contractors on the team still exist and so does the team. I can’t help but wonder whether performance was a factor and it makes me really sad even after a few months! Any examples of how laying off full time employees over contractors helps with cost cutting? Thanks!
