Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.
It’s not that bad.
Trump still claims the tornado hit Alabama? 🤡
Food for thought this a Friday. Quiet quitting has been trending for the last few weeks. This is problematic in two ways. A) Doesn’t actually identify the root cause for burnout (I.e abuse at work or poor company culture B) Completely dismisses a whole demographic of people unable to do the bare minimum without facing penalty. Any other thoughts? https://www.theroot.com/why-is-quiet-quitting-a-thing-for-white-people-but-n-1849407594/amp

Advisory is the answer here.
Audit works more, is paid less, and the work is worse.
Tax gets paid more but audit has a more broad experience so more exit opportunities
Are the exit ops usually better paid for audit?
FSO tax seems to work more than audit. I can't tell you about exit opportunities so I clearly haven't left public.
@OP hard to say which is lid more upon exit. Tax is very narrow though. You're qualified for tax positions, that's it. Audit you have broader options in exit (internal audit, controllers group, technical accounting, FP&A, etc...). Unless you know you love tax and want to do that for the rest of your life, choose audit.
