Hi I've joined Harman in May but hasn't been assigned to any project yet. I've asked hr and reporting manager they said they're working on it and there's nothing to be worried about However I just want to know if there's anything I should be concerned about what's the bench policy? Any client whose boss is replaced by someone from “operations.” That’s when they turn.
They get promoted, more visibility, and then come under scrutiny. Something to be said for pushover clients who like to stay under the radar.
Previous client had a GREAT setup where you couldn’t stay in the same position for over 2 years because they wanted their team to be “well versed” in every department. Basically equivalent to walking up to an account exec and saying, “hey, it’s been two years. You’re not in client services anymore. You are an art director now.” Totally makes sense.
Our client contacts beforehand were great, but then the 2 year mark hit and we got thrown a whole new team of people who has NO IDEA how advertising worked and were defensive about their ignorance. The kind of people who decide to be outright rude to come off as the smartest ones in the room. They were our highest revenue client and they literally threatened to fire us and hire another agency whenever we didn’t do exactly what they wanted (and there were some train wreck ideas).
We didn’t even get 2019 KPIs until Q3! 🙄
