Would love to connect with anyone who is a senior leader (MD / SVP) with deep experience in this sector alongside leadership experience in a TA / Growth or Client Relationship environment. OT? This is PA, not government work.
You are an exempt employee. Sorry 😐
Some firms do pay OT, you know.
Non-exempt myself. Plenty of firms offer OT outside of Big 4 and Nationals.
Yeah cali pays OT
If you are getting OT, it's probably based on the rules of your firm not the state because your salary may be above the limit to be considered eligible for OT by state standards. But to answer your question its 1.5 for anything over 8 hours and then it's 2x for anything over 12.
Varies from company to company. They may pay up to 1.5x after 40 hours per week in CA, but that’s not true for every company. I used to work for a small firm that paid straight-line overtime. PwC paid no overtime.
Pwc would
Like EY1 said. Over 8 hours x 1.5, over 12 hours x 2 per day. Also, anything over 40 in a week is x 1.5. So potentially some days could be entirely overtime pay.
^^ this and 7th work day in the week is always x2 time
I was under the impression you're OT eligible in CA until you have your CPA license.
