Do you think it is time to find another job when your PIC is a micro manager, never trained you when you got hired, expects you to know things no one ever told you about in the first place, texts and calls you in the morning with questions you don’t have an answer to (I work evening shift so I’m mostly sleep when he reaches out), assumes the worst about everything, plots against you anyway, lies all the time, they don’t even do their job, they leave their trash behind etc. gives me anxiety.

Has anyone else had a mentor (assigned to them by the Company) who seemed to have it out for you? I mean downright sabotage to make you look bad left and right. I didn’t realize it at first. She was fake friendly, but she was discrete too. Some of the executives thought she was amazing, but I had to clean up her work all the time. She wasn’t above me either on the chain of command. Later I found out she had tried for the exec assistant role and they didn’t choose her, they wanted me instead.

My boss (atty) is so disorganized! I’ve been with him 6 months and he’s having a hard time delegating, sharing info and managing deadlines. I’ve organized the caseload to manage the deadlines. He says he wants me to help with discovery but when I offer to start on one, he says he needs to do it. My boss makes jokes about me being from a different country whenever there is a work meeting or a gathering with coworkers, even though he knows where I am from. This usually occurs when I meet new work-related people or for example if I am in a situation that involves ethnic related subjects.

A partner I work for keeps asking for ETA's on assignments I have already submitted to the senior associate on the deal for review.
