Deloitte Digital, 20 YOE, Specialist Master 160k, 10k sign-on, 0-23% bonus possibility. What do you folks think about the offer? Also, haven’t ever did a travel gig, in mid 40s now so wlb is important
I just had dinner with some old friends and they are about to retire early. Part of their plan is to downsize their home, get a small condo and travel for 9-10 months a year. Does this seem crazy? I just can’t imagine it. I guess they figured the cost would be about the same but wouldn’t you miss the relationships. Wouldn’t your kids feel lost without having a sense of home? Anyone thought about this?
Have to book 3 personal trips coming up all on delta. Is it worth opening a delta skymiles card or should I just use my chase sapphire rewards?
Can someone confirm: flying United Economy (K) from LAX-IAD-LHR, the LAX-IAD route is 20 PlusPoints to upgrade to biz, IAD-LHR routes are 80 plus points.
Marriott merger decline is starting - just asked to provide my company ID at check in at Westin Dallas...
Delta just did their fourth unannounced devaluation of SkyPesos this year. This program is a joke
Can you expense United club access?
I have 30k United miles expiring in September. What’s the easiest and cheapest way to extend their validity?
I’ve been a nurse for 10 years in Boston. I have a few years of sales that involved a lot of travel. Looking to step away from bedside nursing and get back into sales. I’m also a bit discouraged with my earnings and the wife wants to go down in hours to spend more time with the kids. So far I’ve applied to a few Novartis jobs and the interview process has started. Any other companies that you would suggest? I figure leveraging my medical knowledge would be best but I’m open. Thanks guys
Anyone know a card that boosts EQMs on American/OneWorld? I switched projects and going to have an issue keeping status this year. Thanks team!
Fuck delta for not putting precheck on my ticket and RDU for not accepting my global entry card as proof
I need to get 3,000 PQPs between now and Nov 30 to re-qualify for United 1K. Anyone have any great ideas how to do this - or know of any domestic flights that maximize the PQPs?
So American Airlines is totally on my shit list. Checking in with a regular Tumi Alpha 2 and they told me that it somehow is too big! Mind you, it's been traveling 3-5 times a week with me...
For those traveling through CLT Thursday night, what are your plans? Rebook to earlier flight or just hope Florence doesn’t impact your regular flight?
Had to schedule the last flight out for the day per manager instructions. Finished the day 6 hours ahead of schedule. Wait listed on 3 flights before mine. 😅 fingers crossed!
Tips on getting the most out of your HSA card? Do you expense medical bills using your HSA card directly or do you pay with your credit card first and then reimburse yourself?
For people that like to travel in style: have any of you figured out how to keep your nice suitcases from becoming destroyed at the airport?
which hotel should i book in San Diego so I am close to Mission,Pacific and Ocean Beach. Open to Marriott and SPG. Will be driving down from San Francisco so don't want to drive around much in SD
All my friends who are not in consulting think I’m rich because I make double their salary but I’m really not though
Does anyone know salary for exit opportunities in FAANG? Forensic analytics, specifically at the Senior Manager position.
What exit opportunities exist for international arbitration? I don’t want to litigate, and am a non-American so government jobs (which seem to be what my colleagues are exiting into) aren’t an option for me. I don’t ever see myself making partner (nor do I want to), and I feel totally stuck.
If you submit a claim to Amex Plat for a covered item that was damaged and they approve the claim, do they ask for the item back?
Overtime meal - do people still expense overtime meals? I’m on several projects and none of them have expense budget. I’m working a lot of hours, same as pre covid, except I find it harder to expense my meals.
Hi CGians, I have recently joined Capgemini Invent and working in a support project. People are already onsite from my account and in my team all people are working here for more than 3- 4 years. So my chances of getting an onsite from here seems 0. What steps can I take to get on-site in the near future or how can I see switch projects for an onsite opportunity
And there it is....the email from United offering me 1K status for the low cost of $1500. Am I crazy for considering it? I’m platinum now.
Provided in-depth answers about my company and the interview process to three separate people over DM. As soon as they get the answers they want, they peace out without so much as a thank you. Remember that people are taking time out of their busy workdays to help you in your job search and some appreciation is welcome
Any non-contract remote PM roles out there? Or is this as rare as a unicorn? Would appreciate any referrals. 4+ of PM, finishing up MBA w/PM concentration, almost 15 YOE DoD. TS/SCI.
Any recommendations for a portable second monitor? Ideally something that would fit in a carry-on? Since I’m still WFH, I’m taking a week-long trip to visit my sister. We’ll both be working during the week and I’d like to avoid working only from a laptop if I can.
Had a final round interview today where I believe 3/4 of them went really well. The call with the manager was okay - they didn’t seem as engaged. Will this hinder me?
Need advice! I have been for Acn for very long but resigned recently. I have not started on the new job yet. I felt happy when I accepted the new job. Recently, anxiety is creeping up on me. Self doubts like Have I made a wrong decision to quit? Maybe I should have waited for the performance bonus? Will the new job be too tough for me to handle? What if the new work culture is bad? What if I do not excel in the new company? Maybe I should retract my resignation?LOL Continued in the comment...
Panicking and need some guidance. Currently on a project where I serve a SME for a specific system for overall gap analysis across modules. CAL however has somehow looped me into leading discussions in areas I have no experience in. Fortunately there is time to buffer and align expectations on Monday. How could I convey being extremely uncomfortable with leading the discussion and also save face? Only caught wind of what was actually happening when I digged into the invites provided
Anyone else (who is NOT in big consulting/tech/banking), run the numbers of when they'll be out of MBA debt and realize it was not worth it? If you had an income of 120k, it would be quite difficult to save for a house/retirement/etc while paying down debt for 10 years.
Looking at a move to industry soon but wondering to hear if negotiating salary in this job market is advisable
Threw my remote in the garbage disposal last night...I need to get it together and stop drinking
