That feeling when you realize your executive has so much trust in your decision-making prowess that you dont need to always confirm every scheduling decision with them. Granted it often takes time to build, but it's 100% worth it!

That really is a good feeling. There's a certain point where you feel like you cross a threshold and you're able to just do your support work and it all falls together nicely. If you reach that level where you sense you're trusted, it just makes the job that much more pleasant.

It can take a long time for the trust to build between you and another, but it really does make things that much easier when you get there! I was at a company for a little over a year before I finally felt comfortable in moving forward without double, triple checking myself! At least for every little thing anyways.

I know what you mean, but when you finally turn that corner 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽🎉

Good for you!

I feel that OP. I love when you get to that point and have that mutual trust because it makes things so much easier. You are right that it does take time but it feels good to not have to go ask them every five minutes if they can take X meeting or do X thing.

Absolutely, and for good executives, I reckon that's the primary reason they sometimes take along their EA's when switching roles. I'm sure they aren't excited at the thought of building that trust with a new person altogether.

Hey CDs and ACDs: when you were mids and seniors what do you wish you'd had to help you grow and get to the stage you're at now?

I'm a senior AD and all the resources out there are for juniors. I'm not sure what I need - I feel pretty confident in most areas - so maybe all I need is time to practice and get better. But is there something you did/wish you'd done to improve your abilities, develop your career path, or open your mind?

Hey! I’m new here and would like some input. I’ve been working in a new position for almost 5 months. In that time I’ve witnessed some unethical and lots of unprofessional behavior. I’ve been yelled at and berated by my coworker 3 separate times because of minor errors. I’m ready to quit. There are so many major issues in this company that I don’t know if I want to subject my mental health to this degree of toxicity. I just don’t know how to move forward from here.

I just found out a new colleague was brought on at 20% higher salary than my current salary. (Have been w/ firm 1.5 years) She doesn’t have a 4-year degree (working on it). How do I bring this inequity up and ask to be compensated equally? I have years more experience and My work is more complex - she is basically a receptionist. Any suggestions would be helpful!

Hi- I’m an hourly AA, been on the role for 6 months now and it’s my first AA job. I did not get a raise when I took the job because it was technically a demotion ( I was a team leader at a contact center). I assist two VPs and now they want to add a third because they’re looking for the “ 3:1 ratio “. Should I ask for a raise? Is this normal? I know another AA that handles 3+ people but idk if she’s hourly or salary. Any thoughts?
