Agree haha — I died at the way they did the “major statement/legal script”

I saw that ad and it actually got me curious to check out the data from the STEP clinical trial. I saw that roughly 33% of the weight lost in patients in the Ozempic group was from lean mass (bone, water, organ, connective tissue, and other fat-free tissues). Crazy that they didn’t have to put that in their label.
Exactly. I am one of the (probably very few) people who did what I was told and sees a nutritionist regularly, plans meals, exercises, and counts calories and macros. I was very obese and have lost about 45% of my weight in a year, but I consistently eat very high protein and high fiber and, as a result, my muscle mass and bone density remain higher than average for my age and my body fat has gone down to <19%, per DEXA..
If people--the ones taking the drugs, the ones prescribing them, and the ones who spend their lives pivoting from "let's judge fat people" to "lets's judge the way fat people lose weight because it's really just about wanting people to suffer rather than actually caring about their health"--just understood the science rather than thinking these are a potion that magically melts fat, there would be better outcomes.
