The news and social media seems to be worse because it all shows so much negativity which things seem worse than they are (or is it?). I’m honestly tired of the crap. What are you doing to keep your peace and keep yourself refreshed?
I read, pray, and started taking naps now. Especially today, I took a really long nap but don’t feel refreshed. I don’t like television much and am limited on traveling due to cost of gas and current bills. What else can I do? Today, I am out of answers.

Watch and listen to Tony Robbins who has great advice on focusing on what you want and not on what you don’t. I highly recommend watching his free priming video which is only 12 minutes or so. See how you feel after watching and doing it.

If you have a park in your neighborhood, great place to go with your favorite music or book. Chane your algorithms on your social media. Cat videos are good (seriously).

I workout but I also avoid the news and limit social media. Working out is a great way to release any negativity that may come from the news or social media. If you don't have access to a gym, trying getting outside to walk, meditate and just enjoy the beauty of nature. Good luck!

Thank you . I am going to implement all these suggestions. I am just down in the dumps.
However, it has moved me to clean out and throw away.
I keep hoping for better pay with a employment preferably Discovery and remote. I am trying hard not to give up. I truly regret going to college. It hasn’t gotten me anywhere good.
How do employers seriously expect us or anyone to live off $8- $13.00 an hour, it doesn’t even pay the student loan debt and I certainly cannot work for anyone 35 minutes to an hour away on that low salary. I would be paying on for the gas to get me there and back. Guess they would rather us sleep under a bridge to work for them.

To the Author, I understand that things can get discouraging, but know that this stage of your life is temporary. You will get through this and move on to better things!

Even in the Christian world, we can learn from secular teachers and scholars who have familiarized themselves with Biblical principles, even if they do not realize it. Who are some of these that you follow? Do you follow them often or sporadically? Currently I'm listening to the Jordan Peterson podcasts....www.jordanbpeterson.com/podcast/. Lots of great information from this psychologist who eventually found Christ. He has several audio books out as well. Worth your time to listen IMO...

Additional Posts in Paralegals

Has anyone dealt with a lack of praise from attorneys? I'm not someone who needs to hear "good job" all the time, but we just got a huge deal closed that I worked really hard on and had a lot of overtime. And once it closed, the lead attorney praised the other attorneys, and said nothing about me or my work. I might just be overly sensitive, but it kind of stung. Thoughts?

How do you know when it is time to move on. I am the only litigation paralegal billing over 2,500 a year consistently. Love the boss I work the most for but that person has grown distant. Staff reviews were supposed to be complete this week and no one has mentioned mine. Underpaid by about $30k per market value. Torn and confused.
