I have just scheduled a final round interview for a design strategist role (my first two interviews were behavioral with two potential teammates and then the team lead). I was told I will be doing an “immersive” design sprint with several team members as my final interview. I have been doing as much research as possible but I still don’t really know what to expect with this? Anyone have any tips?

Comment where you are cutting back to save money. Here are ours:
- Not doing a presidential suite, instead we’re getting a normal suite and using a conference room for hair/makeup/meals
- Centerpieces. We are doing a few bigger centerpieces, then small bud vases at the rest of the tables.
- Transportation for guests. Our wedding is in a major city and ubers are easily accessible.
- Flowers. No flowers for men, only the groom is getting a boutonnière. No flowers for parents/grandparents.

I work my best when I am busy and have upcoming deadlines. It’s either procrastination or just short of it, but I never miss a deadline and clients/partners are consistently happy with my work. I have tried forever to change this but have failed every time. Will this ever change or does this only get reinforced as you move up and keep getting more responsibility? How do you get the proverbial shit done?

EY MD 🐠 , I’m a newly promoted MD and have a few questions on comp timelines I’m hoping you can help answer since there have been 0 comms to MDs on this 😔:
1. I’ve heard we don’t find out new salaries until mid-Aug with others below PP. Given others new comp doesn’t start until Oct, do you know if that’s when our new comp starts too even though our new titles are already effective?
2. Does the MD rating/comp timeline continue to follow the timeline for others going forward after the first yr?

I am collecting viewpoints on how accounting firms may differentiate Partner/Principal cash and equity comp with performance, desired culture and the firm's strategic priorities. Want to interview as many partners/principals across accounting firms to collect a range of best practice examples - I am not paying my participants but will do a share-back of what I'm learning...Just looking for 30 minutes to pick your brain!

1) which big-4 do you believe has a better retirement model? the unfunded retirement benefits package that pays out after retirement?
2) is it worth switching from one big-4 to another big-4 and having to re-build everything so to speak, if both roles are relatively same but comp is 20% higher? and also possibly joining a bigger practice area...
