Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

Wow, this is scorching hot take. And I have to say I deeply disagree with you.
There are so many incredibly journalists out there, doing thoughtful, in-depth reporting on important topics. And they cover them from various angles or with out their own voice.
I think of those who write so many articles for the likes of The Atlantic, The New Yorker, The Post, Intelligencer and others.
I’m going to be honest, this kind of rhetoric is a bit curious a worrisome because it assumes most journalist aren’t actually functioning as reporters driving forward more of the “fake news” media narrative. I’d be curious your views or examples of these highly opinionated journalists. And what would you say is something that looks like journalism that you feel like you aren’t seeing right now?
I also think publications and newsroom dynamics plays a role in this too. You can have a great writer, but if the goal of the news room is to put out quick 500 word articles on the latest breaking news. That looks different than an investigative reporter who is given 8 months and 2000 words to dig into an issue. So I’d also be curious if you feel familiar with newsroom roles and responsibilities.
True journalism is a dying art. There are some small independent media sources who still do true journalism but that's about it
