The thing about working at an agency is that you get weirdly close to your coworkers and sometimes, you learn too much about them. Anyway, I want to know how you guys come down on this debate we were having at work today. Do you reuse your towel after showering? Like, you hang it up to dry when you're done with it and use it for a week or two before getting a new one. Or, do you use your towel just once? Like you have all the time and resources to always be washing towels?

Is…is this a real conversation lol? Yes towels are reused…all you’re using them for is to dry off and as long they can dry properly afterwards, they’re perfectly fine to reuse multiple times.

What’s next, changing bed sheets every night?

Just once is psychotic, you should be immediately arrested for lack of common sense.

I use one, but then halfway through drying off I get a fresh one. Then I burn them. Then I shower again because ew, used towels, gross

likefunny

If you’re clean when you exit the shower, the towels really shouldn’t be getting dirty after one use. Unless your bathroom airflow is really bad and they’re staying wet. I change the towels once a week and wash both sets every two weeks.

That only applies for me at hotels.

Based on similar Reddit topics, I think this is largely a guys vs girls thing. Guys are gross so we (yes me) will reuse a towel a couple times before swapping em out. I mean, I’m clean when I get out of the shower. It can survive a couple uses.

like

I don’t know anyone, male or female, who uses a bath towel just once before throwing it into the wash.

like

My friend Craig solved this for me. He said when you get out of the shower you’re clean, right? So us the towel that was used to dry the sparkling clean Humana few more times because it dried a clean person not a dirty one, therefore it’s clean. So I swap them for fresh towels once a week.

like

A handful of times, but not a week or 2. Maybe 4 days?

Reuse. Nobody's got time to wash their towels that much

You don’t even need towels if you don’t shower!

What do you do to automate you lifestyle/remove decision fatigue to reach your health and fitness goals? I’ve found that making healthy habits a part of my lifestyle and routines makes them easier to stick to and would love any additional ideas!

How do I be a decent manager to a coworker who's upset I've been promoted twice in two years and they haven't? We started out as coworkers, became decent friends after a few good moments, but went back to simply coworkers after they flubbed a few projects and I had to step in to clean up. I'm non-confrontational but year-end reviews are right around the corner and I'm worried about having to act professional to someone who I got too close with and who now hates me.
