The W or Westin St. Francis in SF for a leisure trip?

Ironically, I’m at the Westin St. Francis now for a quick trip. Second time staying at this hotel and it’s always a treat. Right in the center of SF, easy walk and access to public transport if needed. I recommend.

The St. Regis is the best SPG hotel. Hard to argue anything else.

Lol, yeah some of you are too bougie

The Westin is right on the border on the tenderloin and can get a bit gross quickly. The W is nicer overall, but is probably 10 minutes further away from most things. In the middle is the palace hote (yes its marriott), which is where I suggest people to stay.

Yes it’s on the border of the Loin but not noticeable because you’re literally right in the middle of Union Square.

Westin is known to be haunted. Perfect for Halloween

Really?! Ugh, I don’t want to hear that as I’m staying here at the moment lol

funny

Agree with EY1. The Palace (Marriott) is the best. The breakfast is amazing and so is the dining room where you have it.

I stayed at the Westin and had a very modern room. I liked the location, close to shopping any points of attraction. Not sure where W is, but I stayed at the Fairmont and that was on the highest hill. I’m still sore from climbing, haven’t gotten back to gym since that effort lol (it’s been a year)

When traveling for work can we use our personal credit card for expenses or do we have to use the corporate Amex? Also does our corporate Amex get points/perks that we can use for personal usage?

At my fiancés company they are able to use a personal card (which then they get all the points and perks) and then just expensive to they company.

I’m trying to get out ASAP b/c he also has a history of firing clerks without cause or notice, but I think I’ll only be able to give two weeks notice if i get the job I’m interviewing for. Thoughts?

Had an FET transfer and just got the news that the pregnancy test is negative. Feeling very defeated about it. All my labs are good (AMH 3.1) and the embryos were PGA tested. Have only two left now, and this was the best quality one. The irony is I did feel pregnant couple days after transfer but then I stopped feeling pregnant. I read that some women don’t really “feel” pregnant until 6-7 weeks… but i did “feel” then stopped. It just sucks. If you have any advice for coping, I’d appreciate it.

I am generally uncomfortable when I’m around my mother-in-law’s husband.

While he is overall a decent guy, his anger issues, yelling at his wife for the slightest issue, and insulting nature makes me uncomfortable and triggers my own anger due to his blatant disrespect for just about everyone around him.

My mother-in-law says he’s worked on things, but it’s been 10 years of this and I’m not sure I want such behavior around my wife and our kids since we’re trying to conceive soon (cont).
