Have even been considering having one of us take a leave, going part time (career suicide/knock us off partner track) or quitting. Just found someone highly recommended, experienced, patient, etc. Interview went super well but candidate disclosed they are in recovery for substance abuse, last relapse 2 yrs ago. DUI. Thoughts?

Experience/success/insights with an “endometrial scratch” before first FET?

Ugh I wanted to take my son to see a UFC match in person. Just so happens there is one in November at Madison Square Garden - great right! I knew the tickets would be expensive, was willing to pay $400 to $500 a ticket as long as they were decent. The cheapest ticket in the whole arena, basically top row so you can’t see crap, is $506 before you start with the fees!!! Am I wrong or is that just bananas???? How do you deal with a manager who expects 3 months of work overnight? I have tried structuring , creating a plan to show him how the activities are being executed. However, he seems to be someone who turns around every other hour to ask ‘Is it done’? I am usually pretty good at managing expectations but having a hard time conveying how unreasonable he is being. In college/grad school I always had a meal plan which made it super easy to get food. Then right after grad school I went right into consulting which I’ve always expensed meals or eaten out.

Has anyone ever successful negotiated there salary with the federal government. I have tried twice and both times was cited a HR policy saying my specific circumstance did not allow negotiation. Just wondering if it’s even possible
