In negotiation with a PE firm. Is it typical for firms to throw a low ball compoffer ? They started the discussion with comp offer based on a 1 level below the role. Told them they were not at market based on Heidrick’s research. They acted like it would be difficult for them to meet it especially since they are a new fund but they’ll see what they can do. Wonder if this is typical for PEs as a strategy. My interviews have gone very well - they have told me they really like me
How would you map Amazon grades 5,6,7,8 to big4 consultancy? I work at a “big” law firm for my market (mountain west). 2020 was my first full year here. Do most firms gives their associates raises and end of year? I came from a really small firm and have only been practicing for 2 full years so i don’t know much else. I’m not expecting a raise because frankly, i didn’t hit the billable requirement and I’d say I’m an average associate at this point. Just curious as to what it typical. (At least we have a solid bonus structure).

What is the typical base salary range for SAP Manager with 15+ years exp (logistics supply chain MM SD) and SM at EY and PWC. At Deloitte I have seen M from 135 to 180 and SM at 160 to 230.

Got an informal offer to join a client (manufacturing company). 240k base, 60k cash bonus target (can shrink or double depending on company metrics) + 50k annual equity (3 yr rolling vesting). Director level which has just one additional layer between me and the Exec Committee. My contact already internal negotiated extra vacation and is working on my behalf for a signing bonus. Is it worth trying to negotiate base? Or is this already a strong offer?
I’m thinking about turning in my 2 weeks notice at the firm that I’ve worked at 10 years this week. No raise, no bonus, was told that partner track was delayed a few years for a variety of non performance reasons. I met all sales and other goals. In NYC we’re not “allowed” to break up fights. (Rationale: injure a kid and you’re not covered.) What’s your school’s policy and do you follow it? Or have you gone against it for the “greater good”?
