There’s nothing like the feeling of seeing something go from messy idea to final delivery.
The stress, edits, chaos, it’s kinda why I love this industry!
What keeps you motivated through the long, tough projects?

I think I just live for the chaos and drama, to be honest. I enjoy having an outlet for chaos so I don't bring it into my personal life, lol. Plus I get paid to deal with chaos? Sign me up!

I feel that exact same, I love it!

I'm usually just concerned with staying on pace and making sure various things are getting done when they should. So the motivation can get pretty granular, worrying about day to day things, did something get delivered, did a rewrite come in as expected, and so on. I guess there's some overarching motivation about the entire project, but mostly I'm just plugged into the daily grind of it. I guess it's not till it's finished that it feels safe to reflect on the whole thing.

That’s fair, I think I feel the same some days!

You speak the truth. There is something so oddly satisfying when you see everything come together like a little lego set. I highly doubt any other job could motivate me as much as this industry does, so you're right about that.

Absolutely, I do love working in this industry because of this!

Would you recommend Sedona during Christmas or San Diego during Christmas with a 1.5 year old? Entertainment, safety, meaningful experience-focused.

Sedona will be much colder, possibly snowing/icy and will be hiking, hot tub, enjoying the scenery focused. San Diego will be beach, enjoying scenery focused. Both Airbnb options look beautiful. Will also have 60 year old grandparents joining

Cisco

Pros:

- fairly decent place to work (from someone who worked with the Vancouver and San Jose offices). never met a blue badger (permanent employee) who had awful things to say.

- Ashley Goodall (their SVP, Methods & Intelligence) co-authored a brilliant book on leadership and people management called “Nine Lies About Work” that makes me believe they can be an awesome place to work

Cons:

- red badgers had low morale since they’re contract workers and can be terminated at any time

Pick two from these 3 to start today, full PPR: Tyler Boyd, Taysom Hill, and the Sun God.
