These days, interviewing feels like dating....they keep trying to hold out for the "perfect" one 😆 But seriously, why is this process so long and stressful?!?!? Say you're perfect for the role during the interview and then put you on ice.

I had the experience a few months ago. After repeated attempts to get an update about the position or if they have made a decision, I decided to move on.

The next opportunity came quickly and it went like this: initial interview on a Friday, second interview was on the following Tuesday (early afternoon) and I was offered the job by late afternoon. I've been on the new job almost 2 months now and it's been fabulous!!!

Hang in there, the right job will come along when you least expect it.

Wow, that's fast! I had a screening call for in-house, and they said they do 7 interviews, and it's about a 6 week process! Glad you were able to get it done quickly.

I’m helping my GF with excel and need help lol. She works at a hospital and is trying to make an excel schedule for doctors to reserve rooms. She wants drop downs for days of the week (column K) and also different drop down menus in column P for the reserved time slots.

Is it possible to do this with two sets of drop downs (days of week + time slots) and not use index match here? She could make 5 tables for each day of the week, but prefers one table that can be easily navigated by doctors.

My dad who lives in Asia just announced that he had a medical issue. I’m starting to enter the age where I’m going to take care of him financially. It’s a $2,000 hospital bill which in the US is nothing compared to what it represents there (which he can’t afford). He’s going to be fine! Just wanted to share with this group as many of you can understand what it feels like to support your parents when they’re old, not the other way around. I feel so blessed I can help him. 🙏🏽

Hey, does anyone work for Jacobowitz Newman Tversky? Would love to know more about the office and culture .

Currently a paralegal at a small start up financial services company been there for just a little over a year. I wear “multiple hats” but more recently I’ve done a lot of PM work and some BA work. My position title is changing soon but I’m wondering how helpful that would be for wanting to go into PM work at a tech company. Anyone have any career pivot advice? (Also I’m only 1.5yrs old in my career so I’m definitely still new, and I have previous experience as a project assistant).

I am prior military and went to law school. I had a family to take care of while I was a student, hence I went as fast as possible to get to a paycheck, graduating in 2 years, and bypassing the standard summer clerkships. How could I get some experience strictly remote? I am w-2 working as an accountant in healthcare, have passed the bar and am working on my CPA license (studying starts at 3 am, then work FT). I would like to eventually hang a shingle as a tax lawyer, but need experience. TIA!

Where do you find the time to get everything done in the day when you have multiple partners, associates and equity partners that interrupt you and want things turned around immediately while simultaneously working on deadlines? I feel like I’m the only one that can’t manage a 70+ case load without letting someone down. I constantly have to say “Can I do this tomorrow?” Etc. I don’t even have time to bill on the clock. I work until 7p at least every night. Top 10 family law firm.
