I’m right there with you, getting laid off was my biggest fear and now the illusion of secure corporate paycheck is shattered. The hard part is that failure is a crucial part of success, so if you want to succeed you have to find a way through the fear. Personally, I signed up with a business coach to help me get started and teach me some foundations. I’m using the time I have to focus 100% on building my first business, but I recognize at some point I’ll probably have to find another source of income while it gains traction.
My hack for overcoming fear is to spend time visioning and journaling what the best possible outcome would be. Think of the WHY you want to start the business and hold it as your guiding star. Then, take the baby steps you can to move towards that reality.
You are right about that OP. It really can be a blessing in disguise but only if you use that time wisely.
