Thinking about leaving b4 and exploring options. Currently do a lot of individual tax work and assist in some comp. Anyone familiar with a career working in comp internally (thinking like a senior compensation analyst)? Any feedback on wlb, career progression, or really any guidance 😊

I have a business idea in the VR/AR space utilizing AI. However, I lack skill sets to evaluate viability or to create an MVP. Neither do I have a network to tap into.

My plan is taking classes to deepen my knowledge while joining and actively participating in communities to find collaborators.

Does this approach make sense or do you recommend other approaches? If it makes sense, do you have any recommendations for classes or communities?

Planning a trip to Rome and Naples with day trips to Tivoli and Pompeii. Is 1 week enough? I feel like reading through 3/4 day Rome and 2 day Naples itineraries, the trip seems rushed. I have unlimited PTO but my SO is limited in time (but luckily he can work extra hrs and then use less PTO). I would say max we could do is 1.5 weeks but adding on 3-5 more days seems almost too much? Thoughts? How many pay periods do each of the big 4 have? EY I know is bi-weekly (i.e. 26 pay periods)

What’s the sense of becoming a partner at a larger firm where you can’t even really make business decisions since there are so many partners higher than you?
