I finally got a raise (after 10 years) from 45k to 50k with less than 10k in incentives while others who are just starting at lower positions make more than me..I want to bring this up but don’t want to come off in a bad way considering they finally gave me a raise this year.
Raise your hand if this has ever been you
Hello Fishes Need some info. Joining Accenture on 23 Feb. My Yoe-14.2 yrs, CCTC-14 lpa, level given is 8 and offered package is 25.98 (fixed). HR is saying this is max possible. How much % increment we get in annual appraisal cycle? And which month appraisal happen? What is the increment can be expected in next 1 or 2 years? If 25.8 is the highest bracket for level 8 then does it mean for next increment Accenture has to do my promotion to level 7? If not then hw soon promotion can be done?
Just finished my compensation meeting at work, got my promo and a really nice raise that pushed me into the six figure club. If you had asked me 5 years ago if I'd ever be making this much money or be having this much success I would have laughed. My wife is super happy for me and has been a big support but I'm secretly starting to resent the fact I settled for her. If I had known I could do this well in life I would have waited and done so much better than her 😕
Mid-Year Hike Check (Except Assurance SL): Service Line: Sub Service Line: Current CTC: Current Designation: Hike Percentage: Promotion/Progression: New Designation: New CTC: YOE as of Dec'21:
Is the leadership taking into account inflation before announcing the raise and bonuses?
This may be a hot take - but as a younger person, working with parents of small kids (especially new parents) is so frustrating. I frequently find myself responsible for picking up the slack due to their family commitments - it’s also somehow completely socially acceptable for kids to barge into zoom meetings screaming. I wouldn’t find it nearly as bothersome if I felt like leadership and parent colleagues took my issues and non work commitments seriously in addition to that of parents and kids
So, when you are given a promotions and pay raise, do you counter right then and there? Ask for more time to think it over?
This AirBnB IPO is bananas. They did a capital raise at an $18B valuation earlier this year, but now magically they are at $108B? Not touching this thing, I’ll check back in a few months.
Hey HR friends, I am up for promotion and I want to make sure I am doing my homework before I go into my conversation with my manager. For those of you in the SF Bay Area in tech, what are you seeing as a midpoint salary for L4 People Operations Manager / HR Manager roles?
Got my promotion today 6B to 7A YoE : 4 Company : IBM (No switch) Salary : 12 LPA Role : Backend Developer Is this justified ? What are market standards ?
Can the gay consultants please raise their hands
TFW you’ve been asking your boss for a promotion for months and told you’re qualified but there’s a financial freeze preventing it but then you get an agency wide email saying THEY got promoted 🖕😵🖕
For the past few years, at every raise I’ve pushed back and said I’m underpaid. I finally have data to prove it and my old boss agreed - but now I’ve transferred departments have a new (to the company) boss. Any advice for how to approach the topic to her, knowing she doesn’t know any of my backstory/skill set yet?
Have you worked on a weekend? This is my first time experiencing this and I really want to raise this with my CD cause it’s concerning. Accounts are pushing me to send the layouts on a Sunday.
Any other EY EAs disappointed with our raises? I don't even feel like mine made up for the 1% raise we got in January.
Anyone over here who have lost their mothers at an early age due to suicide or any other reason? My spouse is a competent educated well earning man and I think he'll be able to raise my 2 kids. My life is not what I had imagined and I don't have the strength to fight because I don't even know what I want. I feel it'll be better if I'm not around for my parents, for my spouse, it's just my kids that I think of that quasi stops me. But I feel even they'll be better off with someone else. Numb.
People in ad land with kids. How do you do it? The hours are so long, the pay is so poor, how do you raise a family? Is this one of those careers where you should remain childless?
117k base at Deloitte (Senior Consultant) ... Offered 135k base for Senior Associate at KPMG. Is it enough to jump? (I got a 1.6k raise this past year at Deloitte)

Question to managers: looking back to your first projects, how would you have approached them differently knowing what you know now?
Gaining weight because I eat so many hours, right?
Upvote if you think airlines should award miles for delay time, in ADDITION to miles flown!
How lit is it right now?
Client extensions are kind of like your last drinks at a bar. The first few make you feel really good, but it's really the last couple that are your undoing.
Got married to my gf of 8 years while we were both in college, 4 years later I'm wondering if I should just cut ties now in case I want to divorce her later.. I'm pretty strong on the partner track &

Looking to invest in some noise cancelling headphones and am soliciting advice. Bose? Beats? Some third option I don't even know exists?
Has consulting lost its luster? Anyone notice the declining caliber of talent in consulting? …
Teams/Zoom optics concerns (limiting client:firm ratio on virtual calls) are limiting the quality of work and underlying relationship/trust building within and across engagement teams. Anyone else find it difficult to wait in the hallway for the second-hand outputs of big meetings?
What is the female equivalent of the word "guy" at work? Girl sounds condescending, woman sounds too formal and lady implies that she's older. I just want to be PC and respectful but also not a dork.
That one person in the conference room crunching away on their kettle chips during a senior managers meeting.
Teammate was bringing bagels and cream cheese from NYC today. Unfortunately cream cheese was in checked luggage that didn't make it...
Isn't it hypocritical that there's so much talk of social justice and equity this year, but when it comes to the covid vaccines, we jump straight to the front of the line compared to other countries. 🙄
Leaving L.E.K. as an associate for Deloitte S&O as a consultant...good move or no? As of now, thinking of staying in consulting.
Those on local projects, do you get to office by 9 on Mondays or align to when traveling teammates get in? Beat our local staff to the office and I come from two states away. Can I say something?
