There’s so much variation. are you funding the trust as well? What area in CA? I know attorneys that range anywhere from $1,500-8,000 on a “simple trust”

like

Los Angeles area. I'd also do the title change to the house. That's as much funding as I'll get involved in. thanks

Following. A family friend is asking me to handle their trust, and I'm lost.

We partner with another firm to get our clients their estate plans and for new trust with few assets the attorney usually carves out 15 hours so then we multiply 15 by our hourly rate, and give that as a flat fee rate for the initial drafting and revising. After execution, any further revisions are billed hourly.

Does anybody have a resource available for pricing and billing? I am 2 years out of law school, working as a corporate attorney, and wanting to go solo. Ideally, I will take my corporate client with me, but am working to build work on the side during the transition. Also, do you have any recommendations for document preparation? I would like to draft wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents, but would like a resource that has boilerplate provisions to utilize as a reference.

3 attorney firm. I’ve been here for 6 years and have used Westlaw exclusively. Now we are switching to Lexis because apparently Westlaw is too expensive. I hate change.
